Hello folks! Basically I'm filming some motorbike antics in HDV. I then need to produce some HDV DVDs that will play on domestic DVD players and possibly on HDV Televisions as part of a press pack. I'm using PPro 1.5.1 to cut the film but I've only got 'Nero' for DVD creating. Does it matter that I'm only using Nero? Do I need to have Encore or some decent DVD authoring software to make best quality DVDs?
You can use the Media Encoder in PPro to render your HDV to MPEG2 Standard Def and pull the mpg files into Nero to build a simple DVD. For a more professional DVD you'll need Encore.
If you want a High Def DVD-ROM you can use the Media Encoder in PPro to render WMVHD files that you can copy on to a DVD using NERO, but you can only play these back on a PC, not in a DVD player.
GG
hd dvds will be very costly, but hold a crapload, i cannot wait.
