You can put some HDV footage onto a DVD if you like but there's way of getting a set top box to play it out in high def that I know of.

Once blue ray hits properly we'll see updates to the likes of Adobe Encore DVD sp we can all make high def disks.

But until then, about the best you can do is put a high def WMV9 file on a DVD as part of the DVD-ROM 'extras'.
