How to show 2 videos on one screen at the same time

Hello

Im editing a video for school, and now there is a problem. How can i make split the screen that there is a full video on both sides of the screen.

For example like this:
On the one side there is a text which explains the video which is explaining the video on the other side.

Within the standard effects for a clip on the timeline (found within the effects control tab next to the preview window) is a setting called motion. Expand this and resize your clip to 50% by adjusting the scale. Now postition using the position settings.
