I've been using Pinnacle's Studio software since quite a long time now. And because a use a notebook computer to edit my videos I am especially loving a feature which helps to save hard disk space - which is always rare on notebook computers. With Pinnacle Studio I can capture my footage in preview quality and use this for editing my project. When I finalize the project Pinnacle retrieves just the actually used footage in full DV quality. This feature makes perfect sense, if you are short of hard disk space.

Now the question: I want to change my editing software and i want to know, if Premiere Elements supports a similar feature?
