Default movie file is too big

I took a video and edited it on adobe premiere. just some simple editing like added 2 cross fades, cutted out some shots, and added a title. The movie file is a total of 8 minutes long but when exported the timeline it became 1.3 GB file!!!! how do i compress this file? it shouldnt be that big.

Sounds like you exported out to DV AVI format inwhich case 1.3Gb is exactly how big I would expect it to be. No doubt when you captured your footage (presumably from a MiniDV camcorder) you noticede that, on avergae, an hour's worth of video was taking 12Gb-ish of HDD.

You simply need to export using a different codec. Try WMV for small files but no doubt you will want to have a good play to find the combination of compression and quality you want.
