Premiere 6.02 and Windows XP

I have just upgraded my PC to Windows XP home SP2. I have Premiere 6.0 upgraded to 6.02. I use a DV500+ card and I've upgraded the software to version 4.5a. All these things I found out on the Adobe forum. Premiere now crashes or restarts the PC when it reaches the "zigzag" plug in, just after the DV500 DVD screen appears. This seems to be a very common problem as there are many posts on the Adobe website.

However nobody seems to have the answer. Can anyone help??
