Default AMD DUAL CORE PROCESSORS AND PREMIER PRO COMPATABILITY

I am considering having a system built based on the AMD 64 bit dual core processor,Now I have been told that premier pro 1.5 does not support AMD Dual core processors is this true? I hope not as I want to have 2 dual core opterons as my system core, Many thanks for any help received.

I am also curious on this? Also does Premiere support dual Intel chips?

I'm running Premiere Pro 1.5 on a AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4400+
