Greetings from Kidsgrove, Can anyone help I need to export my video from Premier pro 1.5 to Encore dvd 1.5 How do I do this and get it onto the time line in encore? I am not sure once I know how to export whether to export as an asset or video Please Heeeeeeeeelp Many thanks these forums are the best on the net thanks guys. I dont know what I would do without you all

Two lines of though on this. They are basically the same excpet for a different file format.
basically though, you need to export your movie from Premier Pro as either an AVI file or as MPEG2 format. MPeg2 format will produce a M2V file for the video and a WAV file for the sound.
Decide on your format then export your movie. open Encore and start a project then either import (as an asset) the AVI file or the M2V and WAV files. Drag and drop them onto a timeline in Encore.
I personally prefer to export from Premiere pro as M2V and WAV files because my experience is that AVI files are not interpreted correctly as widescreen during preview in Encore. (Also I can export M2V file svery quickly with my setup from PPro so another reason fro me to do it there).
Either format ultimately produces exactly the same result though. Just a question of preferred workflow really.

I presume I click on the file menu then Export and browse to encore to export the AVI to encore, then close down premier pro 1.5 and open up encore choosing File then Import and browse to the AVI file. Is this correct? thanks

You export an AVI or MPEg2 from Premiere. Call it anything you like and place it anywhere you like on your PC. As long as you then import it as an asset into your Encore project you are doing it right.

I click on file and export and using the drop down menu at the top of the screen browse to encore and click ok to export the video file to encore is this correct
