Default Thank god for this site

I am new to this but so happy to found this site. I have so many questions for so long.

I am using adobe premier 6.0. Is that much of differences comparing to premier 7?

-what is affter effects.. program?

-what does adobe premier final effect 2 do?
-what does premier video stabilizer do..

so many programs, so much confusion.

Thanks for your time.

There are many differences. Too many to list to be honest. It's a complete re-write and even a name change. It changed from Premiere 6 to Premiere 6.5 to Premiere Pro 1 and is not Premiere Pro 1.5.
Premiere 7 is a nickname for Premiere Pro 1.

Whereas Premiere is a video editor, After Effects is a compositing tool. Think of it as a special effects program.

Dunno. never heard of it.
-what does premier video stabilizer do..
It attemtps to remove camera shake from your video clips. Useful for hand held shots I guess. There is a loss of quality in doing this though because of how it works.

Just ask.

Thanks for your time.
You're welcome!

Yes, you can probably put some of those programs out to pasture for the time being and get yourself a good tripod to steady your shots instead of relying on software to fix the shakes. Your aim is to emulate professional television and movie making and a tripod is an essential piece of kit.

I had Premiere 6 and upgraded to Pro. if I'm honest I didn't desperately need any of the "upgrades" and could have quite happily continued with #6.

Having said that, now that I'm used to Pro, I wouldn't go back!
