Default maintaining CC in premiere

Here at the Phillips Street church of Christ we put on a tv show. Since the first of the year, we've gotten our master mini dv encoded with Closed Captioning. I'm told that this is digitially encoded and transferable on all export mediums.

Does anyone have any knowledge of this matter? Will the CC be maintained when making DVDs with premiere? What about Encore and other DVD authoring programs?

Thanks.
