I have done it I didnt realise you have to click on show frames to show all the frames in the timeline I got it sussed now (that bit anyway), thanks guys for your help just need to learn how to do exposure correction on frames and colour correction as well as to change from stereo to 5.1 surround. I am sorry if I sound a little stupid I am new to this and are only used to using premier elements 1.0.

I need premier pro because of the ability to batch capture and to help me get more professional results as the videos I shoot are for a rock band, I record 2 hour gigs using two 1 hour mini dv cassettes so the batch capture facility is essential.

u cant really change it to surround sound, at least not real sound, at best fake sound. Simulated surround

You're right. It's best to have recored in 5.1 before making 5.1 tracks. Although i havn't played with it.
