Default Stick on effect

I there,

I would like to know if it's possible to do in Premiere or AE an effect like this:

[video width=320 height=240:6a6347dc3a]http://www.canelasduras.com/teste/adio.mov[/video:6a6347dc3a]

Like a sticker or a piece of duct tape being stick on and then stick out.

If its possible I would apreciate some tips or even a link to a tutorial if anyone knows one...

Thank's in advance

This has me confused for ages looking at this. I thought I was looking at a still image and so couldn't see the effect in question. The controls were hangiing off the bottom.

Anyway, this is a lot easier than you might think and doable in Premiere only. No need for AE at all on this one.

First, create your graphic of your 'sticker' or 'piece of tape'. you might do this in Photoshop or even the Premiere Title tool. The size of the graphic should be as you want it.

Import the graphic and place it over the top of your footage.

Now the cool but easy bit. Simply apply a page curl effect of your choice to the graphic layer.

If you want it the peel on and then off again as inthe example then drop it on twice and apply two different page curls, one on and one off.

Done.

Hope this helps.

Just as Alan said. If you're planning on doing this more then once you might want to make a few "pieces of tape". I've never used page curl on the titler before, but if it can add the effect to only your text it could be a time saver. Just copy your tape pieces with the page curl added then paste attributes on the titler. This might help jazz up the text for each time you use it if you're going that route.

Do you know, that is what I love about these forums.

As always a potentially complex idea is actually quite simply sorted. Well done to Alan, I looked at the video at first and thought "how would I do that?" - then when Alan explained how to it was so obvious I nearly kicked myself.

It also goes to show that it doesn't matter how complex a piece of software is - ie pro titling software and so on - the simplest approach is usually the best.

Keep up the good work!

More a chance instance of assonance than intentional poetry I can assure you.

You see?
That's an example of assonance.

Ooh, yeah,
means getting the rhyme wrong.
