hi - im making a short film for a university project - part of it involes showing achive footage of various people. - i wanted the transition between the footage to just be a blank fuzzy screen to give the effect of someone changing channels on a tv.. - any1 know how i can achive this??? i was hoping to find a shot clip of this on the net - but i cant find anything..

Why not just set your DVD recorder or VCR to 'record' and then just change channels a few times and capture that. If the change happens quickly then just slow the clip down a bit.

1) File > New > Black Video
2) Drop Black Video on Timeline
3) Window > Effects. Open up the Video Effects, then Stylize
4) Drop Noise effect onto Black Video on the timeline
5) Window > Effects control
6) Change amount of Noise to 80 under Noise
