Default Keying - Green Screen Key - Not working!

Hi all, here is my problem. Well one of them!

I use Premiere pro and I added a clip I did in front of a well lighted green screen. I put it in the first Video Track then I put a picture in the Video track 2, the same size and place as the one in track 1.

Then I added a Video Effect - Keying - Green Screen Key on the picture of track 2. Then here is what happened.

Now I can see myself but transparent threw the picture. The picture completely covers the green in my track 1 video so it works but instead of seeing me on top of the picture of track 2, I see myself approx. 50% transparent. I check opacity and others and everything seems fine.

I hope some of you had that problem before. I would appreciate any help.
Thank you in advance.

David

Not an expert in this process so might be talking nonsense but...

You were filmed standing in front of a green screen, right? How close were you?

If you were close enough so that you skin was bathed in a green glow from the screen behind you then this is likely to occur. Basically, what I mean is that the skin tones of your clip might have a 'green' element which is also being removed by the effect causing a level of transparency.

As a possible test, add a colour balance filter to your clip and reduce the green down. How much effect does it have on skin tones?

Just a guess, based on what I've read of the subject so far.

Thank Millsy, actually I figure it out. I was putting the bg img on track 2 and the clip on track one.. then I switched it around and it works. Thank
