When I render my movie i get horizantal lines in my movie how can i get rid of those. It especialy hapens to Still Images when I animate them.

This sounds very much like interlaced video. What software are you using?

Adobe Premiere 6.5 for MacOSX

I got the same problem, and I am tired. I thought it was away for a while. But now they are back.
Think its something with if you render ntsc or Pal.
I got a videocam PAL, but before, I could only render ntsc without horizontal lines. Now It appears with both ntsc aznd pal.

This is when I render a windowsmedia file, no lines but bad quality.

This is when I render mpeg2 ntsc generic (this is what I need, to store it on a dvd film) look @ the small lines when there is movement.

and sometimes the horizontal lines are worse. Its annoying
Sometimes I also have them in the captured files.
When I close premiere pro. The disappear. But not with the mpeg I render :/

Most of the time i get this with still images is there anyone that can help mee!!!

In my (limited!) experience, the lines you mention tend to appear when you encode to a different standard (PAL to NTSC etc) or when you're source is interlaced and played on a monitor.

To give a very very quick overview of interlaced video, it was designed for TVs which were unable scan all the lines that make up a single frame of video (each frame is made up of lines that are scanned accross the screen), so each frame is actually made up of an "odd" (frame 1...) and "even" (frame 2...) frame with alternate lines in the odd and even frame. Modern TVs and monitors are able to play progressive video and don't need interlaced video, infact when you play interlaced video on a PC, you see both frames at once, so the picture appears to have lines accross it. Essentially the first line is from frame A, the second from frame B, the third from frame A again etc etc.

To play video on a monitor, you need to de-interlace your video. This can be done with several different methods. For example you can double the frames by using all the frames, or just use odd or even frames. There's a option in the video setting to de-interlace. Also make sure you preserve the video in the same format, i.e keep PAL as PAL.

The same is true for still pictures which may also be made of two frames. In Premiere, right click on the image, then slect video options > field options.

would it be possible to give me the exact path to this option i can't seem to find it right away

Click settings in the Export Movie dialogue. Now select "special processing" from the drop down menu (it's general by default). Click modify, then check De-interlace.
