doing a film for my auntie is the usa,i thought it might be best to set the capture to ntsc.

the only problem is that i cant view the "play" on my tv attached to the camera via the pc, i do have the prefs set to do this .

iam asuming beacuse my tv & camera are pal it wont work thats fine

but could i capture as normal in pal and create the dvd with the prefs set to ntsc when it burns it,t at least i can watch t this way

Yes, capture using PAL and then burn an edited version in NTSC format.
