Hi to all!!!

I imported an mpeg2 file into premiere and it plays audio whenever I double-click it. But the moment I drag it to the timeline, the audio bar is there but with no wave forms. When I play the timeline, there is no audio.

Any idea why this happens? Thanks

Premiere only seems 'to like' .avi and .mov files, is there anyway you can convert your mpeg to preferably .avi?
