Has any one got experience with using the sound filters in Premier 6? Is there a away to decrease the effect of wind blowing? After the fact.

Not easily done at all i think!

And certainly more of a job for Adobe AUdition than Premiere. I found a nice article on reducing noise using Audition but I'm not really sure it works all that well on wind noise.

In essense you find a bit of sound that is just the 'noise' you want to remove. Highlight that 'clip' and set that as the filter set of frequencies. Apply that filter to the entire clip and voila, no noise. Works great for things like a fan buzzin in the background. Not so good on noise. Often makes the rest of the sound come out all tinny.

Better to reduce noise at the source by putting something over the mike to dampen it out.

If you come up with a good answer let us all know.
