Default importing from photoshop

Hi... I'm a potato...

I had asked a question that had a simple answer which I found moments after making this post. So now, I'm changing my question. If I plan on importing something from photoshop which ultimately will be seen on a tv screen by vcr tape, what dimensions and dpi should I be aiming for to get the best results. I don't want blur but I also don't want to take up too much space with an image that's got too high of a res.
