Am I doing something wrong?

I don't hear any sound when I play back a video clip. :

Somewhat light on details there my friend. Clue us all in on your system, software used and what you did (step by step) to play back the video and some real advice could be forthcoming.

I guess i was a little light on the details lilke you say.

I just installed Adobe Premier 6. I have been using Pinnicle Studio 7

Gateway computer with Windows XP Sony Camera connected with Fire Wire. 512 mg RAM, 80 gig HD

I was just expirmenting trying to learn some of the basics, loaded some video from the camera. I can hear the sound when it is recording, and I figured out how to play the sound indipendent of the video, but when I try to playback the video I don't hear any sound.
