Default Export at max speed

If i have an urgent project to export (like what's happening to me right now), what's the best encoding choice to a quickeast exporting process?

I'm not bother about the size of the file, all i want is a quick way to watch it.

Thanks! (and i wait for a quick answer too! :( )

Even DV AVI has "compression" options. Does that take long?

I have spent about 20 hours to export a 40 minute project, to mpeg 2 SVCD!

Is this normal?

512 Mb Ram.

I have used Canopus Let's Edit to export a 30 minutes movie, and it has lasted 1 or 2 hours max.

It's the CPU that's key when encoding... what CPU do you have?
