Hi there, i have recently upgraded from after effects 6.0 pro to 6.5 pro, the problem is when i try toopen any of my old projects which i created in 6.0 pro it says i need to convert them to 6.5 pro then rename it, then it begins to open it and crashes ( the screen freezes) i can create a new project in 6.5 pro but cant open a old 1 PLEASE can anyone HELP!!!

Adobe support always suggest you finish a project in the version in which it was started before upgrading.

it could be a plugin problem.
Make sure if you installed any 3rd party plugins that they are compatibel with 6.5 and that they have been installed correctly.
if it's not that then try opening them in 6 turn off all effects and save then open in 6.5 and turn on effects one by one to see what's causing the problem.
If its not that - i dunno - try looking it up in google.

Hi i have still not solved this problem, i have also noticed another problem i tried using time streath in 6.5 pro and a few other opitions and 6.5 pro just jams? PLEASE anyone any more ideas???

Hi am quite certain that its a small problem because now i cant even use 6.0 pro when i try and use it. i think its something that is intermingling thats making it crash!! Any suggestions ???
