I am really interested in finding out how some specific text effects are done or what software may be used to produce them...

if you go to this link and click on the video archive link under the General Council Services / Tuesday, Aug 2, you will see a video sequence that has some great text effects... the one I am especially interested in is the jittery text that looks like a TV losing vertical sync...

Also, the compositing is pretty interesting...

any comments, opinions or suggestions would be greatly appreciated... I'm kind of at a loss on where to start with learning how to do some of these effects..
