I just got after effects, and the main thing I want to learn is a ramped slow mo.

I see this a lot in certain skateboarding videos that use this effect extremely well.

I want to know how to do this, but I have only a vague clue on were to start.

Does anyone know any good tutorials on a ramped slow motion effect?

The online help is the best resource on how to achieve time remapping in After Effects. There's only about two pages of explanation and it does contain everything you need to know. It actually rather simple once you got the hang of it.
