Thread: Scaling a series of stills in Premiere Pro

Hi,

I'm relatively new to Premiere Pro and I want to import a series
of stills into my timeline. I can do this without any problem, but
the stills are of relatively low resolution, so I want to scale the
imported stream to a larger size (e.g. 500%).

I can go to "Fixed Effects" and scale it up like that. However,
this performs a bilinear (or perhaps bicubic) resampling of the
images that makes them look overly blurry. I want the result
to look pixelated (ie. do nearest neighbor filtering).

How can I get premiere to NOT filter the images when rescaling them?

Try either applying a mosaic or pixellate effet to the timeline or expand your pictures in your favourite picture editor before importing them. This owuld be favourite I suspect as there's no extra work for Premiere to think about when rendering.
