I would suggest a complete format and reinstall of the OS. But this is drastic action! I really thought it would have been a codec problem though.
You could do worse than uninstalling Premiere, then reinstalling (make sure your run a registry cleaner to get rid of all the Premiere entries before re-install). |

hello, okay ive done the exercise instructed. and not to my surprise it didnt make a difference. is there anything else i can try before reinstalling windows? thanks for your time on this 1 by the way. |

Defrag your harddrives and then start a completely new project. See if the same thing happens. |

okay i havent defragged yet. these are installed video codecs on my system, which ones shall i remove???
1) ATIYUV12.DLL
2) Cinepak Codec by Radius Inc.
3) Indeo codec by Intel
4) iyuv_32.dll
5) Microsoft RLE Codec
6) Microsoft Video 1
7) msh 261
8) msh 263
9) msyuv.dll
10) tsbyuv.dll

No problems there. What happens when you play the captured clips in media player? |

it does play the clips but there is noticeable flickering. the footage doesnt look good enough and is no comparison to what im used to |
