Default Premier Pro 1.5 or Premier Elements???

I have been using a try out version of Premiere Elements and have been very pleased with it's workability and ease of use to edit your video. However it's output option have been disabled in try out, so I have to now decide wether to go and buy Premiere Elements of Premiere Pro. Does the Pro version off a great deal more than the Elements version?? Is Prem Pro a steep learning curve?? Which one have you got, and which do you prefer?

I don't understand what all these other programs are i.e. After Effects, Encore etc...?? Sorry newbie video editor, but all family and friends are giving me lots of their Video Clips to edit and make into DVD's. ..but I kinda like doing it.

The biggest difference is price. Read this thread for the low down and comparison.

Thanks for the link, I have just read the thread, and think Elements is the one for me.

Adobe Premiere is a real bargin @ $100 since you have most of the features from Premiere Pro and Encore all in one. Excellent for beginners and is very stable, however I have yet to view the final DVD because my HDD crashed.
