Hi,
Think I must be very stupid but I cant add text to videos or a photo.
I click on titles, type my text, then move the video button along to the frame where I want the text to appear. Then I click save. I can then add the new media to the timeline. However, I get a blank black screen with the text i.e. no video footage in the background.
Help!!

If you're working with premiere, when you create your text title and save it, you only save the text, without the video. Then you have to overlay the text to the video footage in the timeline, just puting it above the video track.

When you edit your graphic/title remember to click the 'show video' check bx. This will then save your graphic/title with an alpha channel. What you are likely doing is saving a solid black background and so not seeing your video through it when the title os overlaid in the secnd video layer.
