Default n00b. export AVI has no audio.

i'm just learning, and although i've figured out quite a bit i'm having some problems when exporting movies.

i take a clip, and preview it, and the video and audio are fine. i then export to a windows media file, using Divx5 for the video and my question is...

no matter what i set for audio, the exported clip has none. the video is fine, but there is no sound at all in the file. from the audio drop-down menu i've tried all of them and i'm wondering if i'm missing a codec or something.

thanks in advance.

What I personally prefer is to export the video and use virtualdub ( www.virtualdub.org ) to convert the file in there.

(this is the seond time i've sung the praises of Vdub )

You could use Gspot codec information appliance to ascertain whether there IS audio in the output file or not, and if there is, what codec to get.
