Thread: Problem editing with bmp-sequence

Hi,
I need some help with the editing of a 8 mm film. We shot the whole film with 8 mm camera's and digitalized the footage.
Now it's a bmp sequence, but i don't really now the best way to approach it in Final Cut Pro or Premiere.
Someone tolled me you should edit with a converted smaller sized copy and once finished apply your project on the real master footage.
Does anyone have experience with this?

Personally I always recommend editting from theoriginal source.

IN premiere you can import a numbered sequence of still as though they were a single video file. Look through your help files to work out how. It's not difficult. Just a case of select the first file and clicking the appropriate checkbox from memory. It's been a while.

Do not convert to a smaller file and edit that. You will lose quality.
