Thread: Split a 20 minute video in half without Re-rendering it?

Hi guys, i rendered a 20 minute long video in Premiere, but then later found out that youtube allows only 10 minutes maximum. and my macbook took 2:30 hours to render it in H.264 720p format. SO i dont want to re render it and waste so much time again.

IS there an easier and a quicker way to split the video? by using some other software probably?

BTW, I am running Mac OSX, 4 GB RAM, 320GB HDD. 2.66GHZ Intel.

Simple answer...no

You could try using Adobe Media Encoder to split you're video files up into 10 minuet segments and this would eliminate the need of premiere.

H.264 is also very hard to encode and will take longer than others so you could also try using WMV.
