Default Burning to DVD

Hello

I have a film that was exported from Prem. Pro 2.0 a while back on another pc.

Now I want to burn the film to DVD. The film is over 5GB in size. I dont really know what Im doing with burning and encoding and all that stuff. Ive been experimenting with importing the film into Premiere Pro 2.0 and then using the export to DVD option, but it reduces the file size to less than 2GB and the quality is significantly less.

How can I reduce the file size by just enough to fit on the disc, so that I dont lose so much quality? Ive tried one or two other converter programs but cant seem to retain any good quality and they all reduce the file to much smaller than it needs to be!

Please help! Please explain in simple terms, as Im not very good with this kid of stuff.

Thanks guys!
