Unable to import any kind of files like photos.

I just installed premier 6.5 and now when I try to import files like photos it does not show up like the folder is empty what’s wrong?

So it lets you try and import but the files don't appear in the folder that you saved them in?

does it let you import AVI files or does it not recognise anything?

maybe the photo files are in an unsopported format?
although I can't think of any that wouldn't be supported, unless they're saved as a specific non-adobe-application file extension.

I have this problem when trying to import .jpg files in Premiere 6.5 ... I simply open the originals in Photoshop & then resave them as .tif images & then I am able to import them.
