Default Premiere Elements 7 Frame error

Hi everyone,

I'm using premiere elements 7 and i've edited and completed a video but need to transfer it to anything - DVD, hard drive etc. But when i try it says that there is an error encoding the frame.

I have looked around and tried some solutions but nothing seems to work.

Just wondering if anyone can help me?

Cheers guys.

Could you post the exact error? That would be a big help.
One thing to check for is a blank frame on your timeline, this can cause problems sometimes. It is best to either place 'Black Video' in the empty spots or fill them with video. Sometimes while editing the clip can be moved just a single frame short of the next and leave a space, that may be your problem. Check the entire timeline, it would help if you know at what point in the encoding the error appears. That helps to determine the spot that you should look for the problem.

Hi,

I tried to fill in any gaps and then went to burn the DVD again but thsi is what comes up....

transcoding error
adobe premiere elements failed to return a video frame. Cencelling the operation.

And the error occurs before the transfer bar has reached 1%

Any help would be appreciated,

Cheers

That shows that there is a problem at or near the beginning of your movie. You could try removing any transitions near the beginning of the movie, double check for blank spaces.

Probably the easiest and quickest way to fix this is to export an AVI file (File/Export/Movie) and import that file into a new project. You will have to redo your menu and DVD markers but it should burn without a problem. That is if you can export the AVI without getting the same error.
