Default capturing footage!

I want to make a home movie with footage that i have on my DV camera, i know how to capture, but not sure what size and quality i should capture at! I want to edit the footage and then copy back to a Tape or burn to a DVD and watch on a normal TV. Disk space isnt a problem. What quality and size should i captre at ?

Best thing to do really is capture in native DV mode from your camera (if you do a google search for "panasonic DV codec" you will be able to import it into various other programs) at a resolution of 720x576, in 25 frames per second.

Is that what you need to know?
