0 Videos nominated Video Of the Month(s): 0 | | Help on my music video, please.
Hey im new to video editing and i have Adobe Premiere and im on a imac. My question is im trying to get the effect of me walking by a thin tree like im sneaking into it and not seeing my body come out the otherside, i tried a bunch of things but im too new to know what to do. I just started video editing yesterday. So if you could help me get that effect of me walking into a thin tree like im hiding and like looping the other side so i just don't don't walk by the tree, id greatly appreciate any help. Thanks.

DVME had a an article on this a few months ago.
The technique though is to dothe following...
Put the camer on a tripod so it will not move. Filme the scene with no-one there then film it with you walking by the post.
In Premier you need to put the two pieces of footage on different layers. Crop the right half on one and the left half on the other. Make sure the crop line is down the middle of the post and you're done.

Yeah, put one clip on video 1 and the other on video 2.
Open up the video effects list and find Transform. open that and drag and drop the 'crop' effect on to both clips in turn in the timeline.
Click on one clip (inthe timeline) and open the effects control pallette.
open the controls for crop and set the 'left' value to 50.
Click on the other one and set the right value to 50.
In your preview window you shoudld be seeing mthe left half of one movie and the right half of the other. you just need to play with the values until the 'join' is down the middle fo your post.
