Default How to create a stutter effect

I would like to create a "stutter" effect to use on a video clip within a Premier Elements 3 project. I would like to repeat a very short clip exactly as it is, sped up, for 3 times in a row (totaling about 5 sec.). I'm sure you've seen this effect in other videos - don't know what the official name of it is. I've only used PE3 a few times and am new at video. I've tried copy and paste but that doesn't work. I can use the original clip, which is very long, and relocate this exact spot, shorten it, and reposition it...and do that again for the 3rd clip, but that would be a lot of work - hoping there is an easier way.

Help is appreciated. Thanks.

Open the clip in the clip monitor and set the in and out points for the part you want to use. Then save that section as a new clip. You can then place three copies on the timeline and add the Time Stretch to them all. Not exactly sure of the end result you are looking for but there are lots of ideas, tutorials and help available at *** Welcome to muvipix.com *** also
