Getting the smartest capture I've recently captured video from my Sony camera (DV tape to HD). Simple family footage shot in 16:9. I want to keep the captures as masters as well as edit from them to create new compilations to DVD.
Based on my settings, one hour of tape is producing files between 10-12 GB. I want to maintain quality, but only plan on using the footage for personal use, nothing that would ever be shared beyond making a DVD for a family member.
Using Premire Pro 1.5 or Windows Movie Maker, what are the smartest settings to possibly create smaller captured files? How do I get the large video files to fit on a 4 GB DVD? |
