Hi - hope this is the correct forum -
I just want to download some tape from my cancorder onto an external USB 200G HDD. I have both Premere Elements and Ulead Video plus but they both treat it as a project and even divide it into scenes. Any help, please? Many thanks for help in the past and regards to everyone. Drawstop.

In Premiere Elements turn off Scene Detection in the Capture Workspace, then you can select where the footage will be captured to and the file name, you can also change this under Edit/Preferences/Scratch Disks

Then you can capture directly to your external drive as a single file.
