I know you can set up multiple captures in multiple monitors for editing, didn't realize you could capture from multiple cameras at the same time, are you sure about that?

Yeah, CS3 definitely has it, you can sync up up to 4 vidoes and switch between them. I think you can also set up your hardware to record directly into the computer and switch between them as you record (so you wouldn't have to do it later) which I think is what you want to do, but I haven't done that. You can adjust the edits (if you accidentally put a whizz pan to line or similar) later in post, which is a neat feature.
I would like to see the documentation on that feature, capturing from multiple devices at the same time is not a common and in many cases not possible.
I dont think its live, but you can just edit viewing four monitors and pressing 1,2,3,4 to select what camera you want. so technically in post, its a hell of a lot quicker =]
It works great in post but I can't find a way to capture 4 feeds all at the same time.
I don't think that even my system could handle that anyway, and I have dual, dual core Xeons and 4GB of RAM.
When Adobe talks about multi camera editing they are talking about post production I'm pretty sure. But if Jay can find me some documentation on how this might be done I will admit to being wrong![]()
You're not wrong, Chuck. I was thinking On Location (which comes with CS3), which you can use to connect multiple cameras directly to the computer, but I see from the documentation that you can't switch cameras during recording. (I haven't tried it so I didn't know the details)
