Default Free snow filter

I got an email this morning offering the following...

Apparently a company who make BorisFX are giving away a free 'snow generating' filter for a number of popular editing and compositing apps. Here's part of what they said...

'BCC Snow is an auto-animated snow generator. The filter offers extensive options and allows you to create drifts or make flakes pile up along the edges of an alpha channel. For a limited time, download BCC Snow for FREE!

Adobe CS3 | Apple Final Cut Studio 2 | Autodesk Systems

This offer expires on March 1, 2008; you must install the filter before this date.'

The link for the Adobe CS3 filter is Boris Registration Form

You have to register some details with them.

I wonder if the $895 Continuum Complete is required to use the filter?

It says in the blurb I got that the snow filter just integrates with either Adobe CS3, Apple Final Cut Studio 2 or Autodesk Systems. It didn't say anything about having to spend $895 to buy more software, is that the catch?

Well it is a BCC (Boris Continuum Complete) Filter, just assuming that it may be required. It would be interesting to know if the filter is a stand alone version or not.

It installs the trial version of Continuum 5.0, it is a 14 day trial.
All other filters will export with a watermark, the snow filter does not. After 14 days the snow filter is worthless unless you purchase Continuum 5.0
