Hi,
I've recently returned to video editing and have Adobe Premiere 6.5 operating via a Pinnacle Dv 500 card. Unfortunately I have a bad memory and cannot remember the settings I last used.
I have been told to use the Pinnacle Dv as the setting as this will capture as Pinnacle AVI.. I have done this and when capturing I can hear the original sound from the footage being captured. The sound can also be heard when the thumbnail is played in the Project window.
However, when the clip is opened in the source window there is no sound, and the sound is also missing when the timeline is played.

What have I done wrong, Please help. :(

I had this problem, and it is why I gave up premiere for a few months.
go into project settings, then click on playback options and make the sound playback on desktop (I think)
