Default Adobe premier 6.0 not running

Hello, I've been around the forum and I'm really impressed. My problem is driving me crazy and I need help.

I installed Adobe premier 6.0 and once I run the program it generates fault that says:

Adobe premier has generated fault and would now be closed.

And once I clicked ok, the application is closed. The same thing happened when I tried Ulead Video studio and video edit magic so I suspect it has to do with my computer.

My PC info are:

Microsoft Windows XP
Home Edition
Version 2002
Service Park 2

Packard Bell
Packard Bell Computer
AMD Athlom(tm) XP 3000+
2 16 GHz, 512 MB RAM

Hope to get some help.
