geoCAD is on a distinguished road
Default AE corrupted but sort of fixed now...but now sound is heard

First of all, I'm very new to Adobe After Effects. In fact I was still working through some Light Saber tutorials prior to losing all time to mess around.

Prior to my break, my AE would crash a few minutes into editing. Yesterday I opened up AE again but this time none of the tools would display. I searched the error code (0::42) and tried one suggestion of removing the 'OpenGL3D.aex' plugin from the plugins folder. I'm now able to open up AE and import videos for editing but I cannot hear anything. I'm very new to AE so I'm not sure if I'm supposed to hear the audio or if the OpenGL3D file has something to do with the sound.

Any suggestions? What exactly does the file do? If the file I moved does not have anything to do with sound, what do I need to do to hear my video? Any tutorials suggested would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks.
