Default Effects !

Hello I'm new here and to digital video and wanted to ask for some help please.

I wish to add the look of a 60's or 70's style video recording and add it to my video is this possible with digital ? Also like the "dirty" effects in Grind House I would also like info on that if possible . Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Jay

Not sure if you're using AE or Premiere, but Premiere Pro (and most likely also AE) has a number of filters/effects you can use. Play around with the color/balance (levels and luma curve are nice too) and you can also try adding noise if you want the "old tape" kind of look.

Easy. Just dress everyone up to look like Mary Hopkins and give them a guitar and have them sing "Those were the days my friend...."

Seriously though, Bert's right. It'll likely all be in the colour balance. Describe the exact effect you want and someone may be able to guide you with specifics.

Are you looking for standard dust and scratches type stuff here? These effects are readily available but not so easy to look authentic. Often better to get a pre-rendered effect and overlay it.
