Default Glow or Shine Effect on Premiere Pro 1.5

I have another problem - I am trying to create a shining effect. What I exactly want to do is to create a glow coming out of a box. Does anyone have an idea which video effect could be useful??? Thank you

Download and install the 'Shine' plugin from Trapcode - Motion Graphics and VFX Plug-ins for After Effects You can demo it but it will need paying for and is exactly what you want.

May I do it in some other way or by using some other software - it is too much for me to pay (it is a law-budget movie )? thanks

Trapcode Shine is by far the cheapest version of that effect I've come across. I do not know of a 'home -brew' version of this effect either - sorry.

Hmm, if it's a stationary shot (the camera doesn't move) you can probably create a white/blue feathered outline in photoshop and gradually appear/disappear it on top of your footage, with some overlay option turned on.
