Default Tips and tricks wanted for Premiere Pro 1.5... do these exist?

I would love this program even more if I could do two things:

1. have the timeline move along with the movie (so the part of the timeline that's being preview at that moment is always on screen)

2. copy transition effects (so I don't have to use the default one of 1 second and bring it back to 6 frames every time)

Does anybody know if this is possible?

I'm not certain that I can help you with 1. It's the edit line that does the moving. You can set the entire timeline to be shown however, by hitting the \ key.

For 2, you need to change the default transition duration in the program preferences.
