Default Premiere Newbie!

Hi,

I am completely new to premiere and having problems cutting a selection from an imported AVI.

I am creating a new project and picking the Preset selected: DV - PAL Standard 48kHz

I am then importing an AVI and dragging down to the timeline.

I am selcting points and cutting with the razor blade tool.

When I have cut my selection, I am exporting as a Flash FLV file.

This all works, but I am not getting any audio when I play the FLV. I tried exporting an AVI too and I am not getting audio.

I am using a VLC player to play the files back externally and the original imported AVI has audio, whereas the exported edited clips dont,

Anyone have any ideas?

Two points. Is the speaker icon visible on the audio tracks in the timeline? Make sure you can see it. Also, when you go to export your video make sure Export Audio is ticked aswell in the settings dialog box. How did you copy the video files to your computer? You don't need to use the 48Khz audio setting, 44.1Khz is high enough quality as this is the setting for audio cd and will work perfectly well in 99% of cases.
