I export the movie as an avi and it runs fine if I use VLC to play it, but if I use any other player, i.e. windows media player it continually changes the aspect ratio as it’s playing, (jumps from normal to a squeezed widescreen then back again) This is really frustrating as I need to burn it to DVD so it plays in any machine and when I do this the same problem occurs. What do I need to do to fix this???? Any help would be massively appreciated as my deadline is on Friday!!!!!! Cheers, - Oli l |

Try the following. Check your project settings and note them. (excuse for me not knowing them. Maybe PAL widescreen and maybe not).
Make sure all your video assets are the same. Use 'interpret as' functionality to make sure Premiere thinks so.
Check your sequence(s) and redo your export. Not sure why you're exporting to AVI. Use media encoder to export of MPEG2 which is what DVDs are. Once you have your M2V (and WAV) file then try playing that.
Don't know if this will help.

I once had a similar problem with a DV-AVI file however after conversion to MPEG2 it stayed in a locked aspect ratio hopefully that should fix it...

Does it not have the option just to export your entire object as a multiplexed Mpeg 2 file with audio and video?
