Default Premiere pro noob question

Hi, im new to thease forums and also learning premiere..

Firstly, the software is great and im enjoying being creative within, but my problem is this:

I am using Fraps to record some game content, (using at 30fps) - after the avi has been created it looks fine when I play it back, but when trying to add a little bit of dynamics to the movie im creating i.e slow motion it is really bad quality (very stuttery)...

I presume that I, (cut the area that I want to slowdown) then right click adn choose speed, then add a percentage in my case 33.3... and making sure that frame blending is turned on, but then when I play it back.. its terrible.. am i missing something here or is this _just_ the way it is with home recordings for games?

I'd appreciate some help as I been trying this all day to no avail!!!

All the best

zak

You'll need to render the video first to see how the video "actually" plays. If you've done that and the video still looks choppy, then there's not much more you can do other than get an expensive plugin
